Six years in the making, iris is one of perfumery's most patient raw materials. In Iris Ebène, perfumer Marie Hugentobler honors that labor by drawing out the flower's rarely seen shadow. Sourced from the sun-scorched valleys of the Atlas Mountains, this iris is stripped of its powdery softness and cast into something darker: a sensual, textured composition where leather and balsam slowly wrap around the material like worn earth after rain. The result is a fragrance that feels both elemental and intimate. As though matter itself has been coaxed into revealing a hidden self.
